The awards were presented at the 41st and 42nd MRJ Biennials in Memphis and New Orleans.
Our Brotherhood baseball team, the Holy B’s, is competing again this year in the ISBL – Inter Synagogue Baseball League. We play most Sunday mornings from May to October.  The full season schedule, park locations and scores are available on the ISBL website.  Come out and cheer for us.

Brotherhood Annual General Meeting and Installation
Our Annual General Meeting and Installation will be held Sunday morning, September 26, 2010.  All men of Holy Blossom, and all nominees for the Brotherhood Board of Directors and their spouses are invited to attend. Details to follow.
Brotherhood Breakfast Club
We are planning a new schedule of speakers and presentations on topics of Jewish interest for 5771. Our first program will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Speaker to be announced. A hot breakfast, prepared by the men of Brotherhood, is served at 9:30 a.m. (immediately following Temple Shacharit services at 9:00 a.m.) and we introduce our speaker at 10:00 a.m.  All Temple members – men and women – are welcome.
Brotherhood Study Group
Rabbi Michael Stroh will lead our study group again in 5771.  Our topic will be “Torah Min Hashamayim (Torah From Heaven) – Was the Torah revealed by God?” Six dates: Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 19 and 26 and Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2011.

A gift of Torah
For many years Holy Blossom Brotherhood has given a copy of the Plaut Torah Commentary to all bar and bat mitzvah youths at Holy Blossom. We hope these volumes will be a valuable resource for the students of our synagogue as they prepare for their bar and bat mitzvah celebrations and for many years to come.
